How does Large Format Printing work?
1. Design Preparation: The graphic or image to be printed is created or prepared using design software such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. The file needs to be high resolution to ensure clarity when printed large.
2. Printer Setup: Large format printers use wide rolls of paper, vinyl, or other materials as the printing substrate. These printers can handle widths from about 24 inches up to several feet.
3. Printing Technology: Most large format printers use inkjet technology, where tiny droplets of ink are sprayed onto the substrate. Common inks include dye-based, pigment-based, solvent, eco-solvent, UV-curable, and latex inks, chosen based on the material and the intended use.
4. Printing Process: The printer pulls the substrate through while the print heads move back and forth, depositing ink in precise patterns to create the image.
5. Drying and Finishing: Depending on the ink type, drying can be immediate (e.g., UV-curable inks) or require some time. After printing, the material may be laminated.

VISIBILITY
The main advantage of offset printing is it’s sharp and consistent image quality. The process can be used for small, medium or high-volume jobs.
